Simple But Sweet

Oh the joys of Valentine's Day! It's the day some of us receive that beautiful bouquet of red roses or the standard heart shaped box of chocolates or even that singing "Love-O-gram" delivered directly to the office so that everyone within earshot will know just how much you are admired on this special day! Yes, that has happened to me before and no, he's not the one I married...lol.
If you are looking for something simple but sweet, this is it. Just enough chocolate to enjoy and not send your sugar levels over the edge. This tiny little box stands at 2 x 2 inches and will hold 2 of these cute heart shaped Hershey's chocolates.
As many of you know, I am a huge fan of Chic'n Scratch. She makes the cutest projects ever! These boxes I made are one of her latest creations and if you click HERE you can check out her video.
I did not use the brads for the closer since I had so many to make. I attached the heart with some tacky tape and made sure the box opened and closed correctly.

So take the time to stop and smell the roses, eat a piece or two of chocolate, sing along to a happy love song, or just smile because it's Monday...Happy Valentine's Day!

Ink Pad Holder

My ink pad bin needed a serious make over and as you can see I needed something that would hold a variety of brands and yet keep them close at hand. While doing a web search, I found this amazing project from Stacey King. You can check out her blog HERE for instructions on how to make this inexpensive ink pad holder.
Thank goodness my Handy Hubby was able to make this for me. I am so pleased with how it turned out.
There is a lip at the top that holds ink refills, stickles or other miscellaneous items.
The dividers are perfectly spaced to hold a variety of ink pads.
This Ink Pad Holder was definitely the perfect fit for my scraproom. It sits on my table, directly under my cardstock shelves and is within arms reach from where all the magic happens. :)

February Birthday Cards

I just love these scalloped pre-cut cards and envelopes from Stampin Up. They are great to have handy when you need to make a quick card. These are a mini base card and most of the paper used to embellish them can be found in your scrap bin.
Patterned paper is from Stampin Up, along with the scalloped punch and stamp.
The stars patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View - Doodlin' Around Stack.

Super Bowl In Dallas

So I'm not really a football fan, but hubby convinced me that driving out to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium a week before the Super Bowl might make for a "once in a life time" photo opportunity. HA! I think he meant he might not ever experience the "hoopla" of a Super Bowl this close to home again. Apparently, we weren't the only ones! Regardless, we had a fun time and I love how my photos turned out.
Here are just a few of the photos I wanted to share.
A close up above the main entrance
I love the giant trophy signage on the stadium windows.
This is my favorite photo of the stadium taken as the sun was going down and the lights came on.

Thanks for checking out my photos!!
