S'mores Birthday Invites

I had an interesting challenge from my sister in law this week. She wanted invitations for my nephew's upcoming Birthday. Since the adults will light a Bonfire in the Birthday Boy's honor, I thought the S'mores would be a creative addition to the invitation. She loved the idea and volunteered to help...I most definitely could not pass up that offer!!
We completed 27 boxed invites measuring 2 x 3 1/2 inches. The box is made from Kraft cardstock and I was able to get 2 boxes from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. The fire was cut with the Cricut and the "Birthday Fun" stamp is from My Pink Stamper. The handle is 18 gauge aluminum wire.
The invitation stamp is from Stampabilities.
S'mores packet is tied with hemp and fits perfectly in each box.

Thanks for looking...enjoy the rest of your week!

Trick or Treat Boxes

I really enjoyed making these Halloween boxes and they hold quite a bit of goodies, too. The kiddos will definitely love them! The boxes are filled with snack size gold fish, teddy grahams, rice crispy treats, peanut butter crackers, raisins, gum balls and candy bracelets.
Each box is made from a full sheet of 12x12 card stock, scored at 3 & 9 inches, turned and scored again at 4 1/2 & 7 1/2 inches. The corners are carefully folded as it forms the completed box. I attached eyelets on each side for the handle (rebar tie wire).
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the spider web and skull, then inked them to bring out the embossing. The spider, bats, ghosts and skull images were cut with my Cricut.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Halloween Treat Box

Halloween is such a fun time at our house and I just love handing out candy and seeing all the interesting costumes. As I was searching one of my favorite blogs for inspiration, I came across this video/project and decided to give it a try. I love how it turned out and can't wait to make more. I'm pretty sure my nieces and nephews will enjoy them filled with lots of goodies! (click on the link above or visit mychicnscratch.com for instructions)
The box is made from a 12x12 piece of card stock and the handle is rebar tie wire. I used the Cuttlebug Spiderweb embossing folder and inked using Martha Stewart Sterling Metallic ink. The spider and bats are from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The skeleton stamp is Twick or Tweet from Stampin Up along with Eggplant ink.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Woodgrain Texture Fades Card

Good afternoon everyone! It's definitely been a Tim Holtz kinda day! Okay, maybe not a whole lot of TH, but just enough to give this Halloween card a bit of a rustic touch. The woodgrain look is a Texture Fade from Tim Holtz along with brown ink.
I used a scalloped punch for the 3 dimensional pumpkin
And the stamp is from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Tim Holtz Alterations Regal Crest

This is the first time I have ever used a Sizziz Die and oh my gosh...it was much simpler than I thought. The scary part is now that I have figured it out, I want more DIES!
This is a regular A2 size card. The image is Tim Holtz Alterations "Regal Crest." The ivy and shield were cut out of brown cardstock and the banner in light blue. I inked the ivy in green and the shield in dark brown with black around the edge. The banner is also inked in dark brown. The background paper is Basic Grey "Motifica" and the letter C is from my Thickers stash. Congratulations is a My Pink Stamper stamp. I also used pop dots to give the shield and banner some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Tim Holtz Alterations Texture Fades

These are the new Tim Holtz embossing folders. I was so happy to get my hands on this set, but will be even happier when my other 3 sets arrive in the mail.
This is a sample I embossed to give you a better view. I used brown cardstock and then inked over the top of the embossed image. This folder is called "Bingo" and fits perfectly on an A2 card.
This folder is called "Patchwork" and also fits an A2 card. I used the same brown cardstock and then inked in dark brown. I added a touch of red to this one.

These folders seem to emboss a little deeper than a regular cuttlebug folder. Which makes inking much easier. I think these will look great on a scrapbook layout.

Tim Holtz Idea-ology Goodies

I found these great Tim Holtz items in the tiny town of Whitesboro, Tx and can't wait to create something fabulous with them!

I can't get over how beautiful these buttons are. The ideas are endless!

Tissue Paper Flowers

I am so happy to show off these beautiful tissue paper flowers that my super creative Sister-in-law (Stephanie) made. She says they are really easy to make, so I'll have to give it a try sometime.
Aren't they the cutest?! They are even more cute when my 4 year old niece carries them around the house all day...lol.
This is also another one of Steph's creations...a photo/memory board. She totally read my mind! I've been wanting to make one to go under my cabinet in my scraproom and haven't gotten around to do it. Hmm...maybe I can convince her to make one for me! =)

Hope you have enjoyed this episode of "Steph's Creations"... Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Graduation Images

I have been cutting and adhering image after image and I am LOVING it! I am so lucky to have meet some nice people through my blog and with Graduation just around the corner they have definitely kept me busy with my Cricut!
These are just a few snapshots of what I have been up to lately. And believe me, if I could send you a completed centerpiece by mail AND in one piece, I would do it...othewise, the next best thing are the images! =)

Happy Graduation to those who are celebrating in the days/weeks to come!!

Elegant Cakes Cartridge - Winner

Yippee...I am super excited to receive the cartridge I won from Provo Craft today! During the Cricut Cake reveal on HSN, Provo Craft was giving away prizes on the Message Board. We had such a fun time answering "Cake" related questions and watching the Cake in action on HSN. The cakes looked FANTASTIC!
So, here is the cartridge I won and although I didn't purchase a Cricut Cake that night, I am still happy that this cartridge can be used with my Expression!

The images are amazing and I think they will look great on a beautiful layout or card. This cartridge also has a Font and I can't wait to use it!
Thank you very much, Provo Craft...This is a FABULOUS addition to my cartridge library!!

Post It Note and Pen Holder ~ 4x4

I wanted to make some note holders for the 4x4 post it pads I had handy. Well, apparently I am not good with measurements! After 4 tries, I finally had a stencil that was a keeper!
I was able to use several of my scraps to finish decorating these holders.
I even added a slot and inserted these awesome pens made out of recyclable paper from this really cool company.
Stamps, paper and punches are all from Stampin Up.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend! :)

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!!

Well, maybe NOT an actual chicken dinner, but something much much BETTER! (lol) My aluminum foil card was chosen as the winner of My Pink Stamper's Challenge #3. You MUST check out her blog to see all the AMAZING projects everyone had submitted. The talent is overwhelming! And the prize is 8 Cuttlebug Folders...Yippee!
So for this challenge we had to "Think outside the box." Do something that you would not normally do or add something fun and crazy. I used my Fleur De Lis cuttlebug folder to emboss a piece of aluminum foil and adhered it to the card with my ATG. I also used Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge to cut the image and adhered with dimensionals. The stamp and punch set are from Stampin Up.
A big thanks to everyone who has stopped by my blog and left such sweet comments. I appreciate every single one! :)
